About Us

Llama are an IT Infrastructure Services firm specialising in Microsoft technology; in designing and deploying Enterprise scalable solutions built on the Windows Server platform.

Our business is focussed on infrastructure solutions based on the Microsoft server platform. Our core competency is providing consultancy for the design, deployment and support of secure, scalable and reliable messaging and collaboration solutions built on Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, MOSS and OCS, and in supplying business support for project and program management.

Our experience comes from working closely with Microsoft since 1994, being involved in projects to help some of their largest customers deploy and support mission critical Enterprise solutions. We also work with a range of Microsoft partners large and small to provide cross-technology solutions.

President and Principal Technical Consultant is Tim Coveney. Tim worked for Microsoft for 10 years; 5 years as a Senior Consultant in the Infrastructure practice of Microsoft Consultancy Services, and 5 years in Premier Support for Windows and Exchange Server before setting up Llama IT, where he has been a freelance consultant for 5 years.

Sandy Coveney

Sandy Coveney is Llama IT's Project and Program Management Consultant. Sandy has more than 12 years experience of working at Microsoft, firstly in Macintosh, Office and Windows Server technical support engineer roles in PSS, then as a Technical Account Manager in the partner sector. Since leaving Microsoft, Sandy has also worked for RSA Security before joining Llama as a program manager.

Tim and Sandy left Microsoft in 2004 to take an incredible sabbatical, travelling the world for a year. On their return, they set up Llama with a simple goal; to deliver excellence through quality IT services on the latest Microsoft technology. For the last 5 years, we have been doing just that, working directly for customers, partnering with Gold partners and through Microsoft as Associate Consultants.

Tim has most recently worked for Microsoft Consulting Services and Clearswift amongst other customers, providing messaging and collaboration infrastructure, technical support and software testing consultancy. Sandy has successfully focussed on business support management and project management, currently working as a Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Office 2007 deployment program lead for Microsoft's Enterprise and Partner Group.

Llama are Registered Members of the Microsoft Partner Program, Microsoft approved DDPS Service Providers, Associate Consultants for the Microsoft Services Organisation, and members of the Professional Contractors Group. Tim is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and IT Professional Enterprise Messaging Administrator. We are based in the Berkshire / M3 / M4 area, but work nationwide across the UK.
